What the !#@%?

To answer your questions we present the HyperPsalm of Mez (Psalm #0 in the Recycled Testament).  Those of you of more didactic bent may seek simplified answers in the Creed or the FAQ.

mez within us all
buried deep inside
reach within yourself
feel the rising tide

not man nor myth
nor god unseeing
a vital growing part
of every human being

all of us can grasp
what is so plain to see
in yourself place faith
be what you would be

live by conscious choice
create the future you
give your dreams a chance
see them all come true

run not from your fears
drown not in your tears
change what makes you sad
tomorrow you'll be glad

explore the world around
with childlike open eyes
celebrate the new
with wondrous joyous cries

walls around you'll see
of walls within you'll hear
believe in them no more
of naught they're made but fear

human nature too
they'll invoke to limit you
transhuman is the word
of freedom from the herd

transcend those walls within
transcend the masses whim
transcend your human doubts
perceive all we have wrought

envision future selves
wizards, scholars, elves
whoever you would be
imagine vividly

and then that dream you chase
across one million years
drawn by hope not haste
conquering your fears

one day you'll find you've grown
to be that dreamt of you
mind mastery of your own
ascended to the few

freedom you have won
power you have claimed
in ignorance and fear
no longer are you chained

then the test is true
that tells us who are you
if wisdom you have earned
to others you will turn

to share what you have seen
to all who will attend
that they might also walk
the path that does ascend

thus the final bond is broke
death no dread contains
for after you are gone
all you've done remains
