Joining MezLabs at Burningman 2000

Here at MezLabs we love meeting new folks.  Unfortunately, our resources, including the amount of space we have at Burning Man, are limited.  And the last thing we would want is for you to show up on the Playa thinking  that we had a spot for you, or food and water for you, when we don't.  So please read below to understand

Are You Already a Member?

Have you received explicit confirmation in the last month or so from David L, Mez, or Tracey that you have a camp spot in MezLabs or in the village of eVille?  If not, you're probably not already slated to be camping with us.  Contact David if you would like to confirm your status or if you're interested in camping either with MezLabs or in the larger village of eVille of which we are a part.

Are You Bringing Food & Water?

Unless you have been explicitly told otherwise, you are responsible for your own food and water.  That means you should be bringing at least 2 gallons of water per person per day, plus all the food you'll eat on the playa.  If you have any question as to whether food and water is being provided for you (it's probably not), Contact David.

Also, please read the Burningman Survival Guide if you have never before attended.

MezLabs General Camping Policy

For your reference, our general camping policy:

  1. We'd love to invite everyone.  But due to resource limitations, camping with MezLabs is by invitation only.
  2. We mostly invite people who current members know and vouch for.
  3. We run potential invites by all current members before confirming.
  4. For strangers, we encourage them to come to our events and get to know us before considering an invitation.
  5. For significant sized groups (more than a few people) we recommend that the group do some themed activity, whether or not they camp on our space.  Often this means you will find yourself a new theme camp inside the village of eVille.
  6. We do not want our space to be a camping suburb.  We are aiming for a high degree of interactivity.  Participation is what Burning Man is all about!
