The Path of Ascension

Walk the Path

Visitors to our burning man camp in 99 were loosely encouraged to enter via the Path of Transformation set in the corner of our camp, as close as possible to the road.

The path was a series of 15 mirrors, 12 of which were arrayed in a clock-like circle.  Each mirror was a 6' wide circle on which are inscribed messages to the intrepid path-goer.

The 3 extra-circular mirrors introduced the visitor to the path, and then lead from the circular portion of the path to the rest of the camp, encouraging the emerging deity to recall what has transpired, and carry it within for the days and years to come.

The 12 mirrors on the circle itself walked the human-becoming-god through a series of affirmations, visualizations, and self-explorations which bring out the most godly qualities of the seeker while encouraging visualization of the transcendence of  any current limitations.

We hope that the sights, sounds, and sensations vividly imagined on the path linger, and that the godlings reinforced them with a visit to the Mind Hookah in the tent of Wisdom.

Truly, all are divine, and the path extends forever.  The path we lay upon the Playa symbolizes the eternal cycle of self-discovery, self-realization, and self-invention that extends throughout our lives.
