| The Corner by David Simon and Edward Burns The Corner is a beautiful and horrifying book about inner-city America. It focuses on an open-air drug market in West Baltimore and the people that live and die there. The writing moves easily from novel-style storytelling to insightful journalistic commentary. I believe that everyone with an opinion on drugs, especially the war on drugs, should read this book. |
